In Memoriam: Vernon Sullivan
It is with deep sadness that The Gateway Food Pantry announces the passing of Vernon Sullivan, a dedicated and beloved member of our community. Vern was a pillar of the Arnold community, leaving a lasting legacy through his 21 years of service on the Arnold Food Pantry's board, 16 years on the Fox C-6 Board of Education, and 14 years as an Arnold City Councilman representing Ward 3.
In 2021, Vernon was honored with the Senior Service Award by the Missouri Lt. Governor in recognition of his significant contributions to our community. His tireless efforts and unwavering commitment have touched countless lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Visitation for Vernon Sullivan will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kutis South County Chapel, located at 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129. A service to celebrate his life will take place on Wednesday, September 4th, at 12:00 p.m. at New Hope Methodist Church, 3921 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO 63010.
