2024 Post Office Drive Raises 10,000 lbs. of Food

On May 11th, the Gateway Food Pantry collaborated with the Letter Carriers’ of the Arnold Post Office to participate in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. While the food drive is held annually on the second Saturday in May, it looked different this year since the Arnold Post Office is currently moving to a new location. Despite the challenges of not having a physical location, Post Master Joe Downey rallied his crew and the northern Jefferson County community to make the drive a success. The drive was one of the largest in the history of the Gateway Food Pantry and over 10,500 lbs. of food were raised.
